What I got out of this talk a lot of things like Do things yourself - which is true and learn Show your works at the door to door you never know what will happen Influences for him is music and for me is everything - music, myths, other artists (mangaka - manga artists and games and everything I do and see and hear (Hear is sometimes). Price yourself and stuff - don't overprice yourself Business - magazines, and others on the side.   Give and take - both get an equal share.  Be solve problems.  See where your work can take you and make what you love. Success - what is it to you For me as an artist is to get my work out in the world to see and can relate to my works but most people smile or think if they like or hate my work.  Publish my works and my work can be in animation or close to it.  I'll find another dream to reach for. Take yourself into the world - website, meeting with people, email. Keep going contract again.

in groups  So much to take in specially when our talker Ralph as a sole artist and talked about marketing and money with GST and invoices.  So now it will be best to when someone borrowed your stuff as to ask for money depends on stuff as computers etc will cost if need repairs and more. Can make things cheap for friends and family but be ready for hard stuff and others may go a bit higher so note of dates when paying or getting paid.  

Looking for internships again as I didn't get an email from some so I decided to talk to people who may help me so I email another lecturer who I don't really know but hope can as he in film field but I'll find out soon and email one of my friends who is good with his store so hope I'll get something.  But happy for some of my peers as it was really hard to find in their field.

Stories from Vav'a, Tonga and my mom so I started to write peoms and illustration of the stories and some are my prose poems I created for some people I know. My new works that I may exhibition in the Upstairs Gallery  I submit to hainamana but it got declined because it's not what they were after. but I'll try again.  I'm still deciding what to submit to Tautai's exhibition - a week away My new work  I research in my moms culture of where she is from Vav'a, Tonga.  So I have decided to do prose poetry with my illustrations and based on what I know from my mom and her family. I email lots of different companies in the area that I might get in with but no luck as some don't do internships and some have on an time limit so the places I ask was the three and extra I researched in where I would go but still no reply only Tautai who did but the art gallery in Papakura and it wouldnt suit my timetable for my end project and it is too far for me and I'll properly get lost and family who worries.  And I didn't have any of the papers like the cover letter or CV on me at the time I'm still fixing my CV and my cover letter as its incomplete. On the other hand only thing is stopping me is transport and the time of getting there and knowing the area.  I don't mind if its far but I may get lost on the process.  Talking to our lecturer (Cat) a week ago or two if she can help me out somehow and it be cool to work besides MIT staff who I know.  I got an email from Cat so I better talk with the other lecturers who got the email tomorrow and see where ...
