My new work

I research in my moms culture of where she is from Vav'a, Tonga.  So I have decided to do prose poetry with my illustrations and based on what I know from my mom and her family.

This work is what I will send to Tautai exhibition hope it goes well for both exhibitions

(note that you might forget to add things in but it also mean it wasn't meant to be as I was going to submit a written piece I did two years ago.  But I forgot where I place it but its okay hope this work make you think maybe.)

Wings with Meaning

In his dream these had been carrier pigeons from someplace far across the ocean, landing and taking off again one by one, each bearing a message for him, but none of whom, light pulsing in their wings, he could ever quite get to in time.
He awoke blue stars coming down from the ceiling.  In a green nature room somewhere, he did not recognize, ‘I wonder if it will come true.  Hmm, where am I? Who am I?’
“You are Lance, my saviour and my only yellow Diamond in reality,” a girl answers.
Lance sits up looking round to see six beds in a wide room but no girl.
“Who was that, Diamond of what reality?” Lance glanced at the window.
Near him a guy spoke in his sleep, “Don’t worry, you will find the answer you seek.”
Lance turned to find a purple bird on the envelope beside him; orange stars with smiles dancing and singing around his head.
The bird blinked its eyes and jete high off the envelope to Lance’s stars and dance among with them.
“Where did it go?”
Lance stares the strange envelope, he touch it and it open slowly.  He wonders what it is. Unfold into a paper in disguise of creation.
No voice appear only fancy handwriting, someone was writing it from the red moon’s shadow.  Lance look at it with curiosity.

To dim armour of ambit
You are chosen by the heavens, you will not find out who I am.  It’s hard to let you know what you are in for, but you are in a black hole.   My little friend will guide you and send you to me as I can’t tell you now.
Until then.

He was more in another planet not his own as he reads it over and over.
“Nah, this can’t be real, could it? I’m no knight,” he touch the envelope disappearing into blue space atmosphere.  In the corner of his eye, he sees a black carrier pink pigeon on the run, siting on the edge of the terrace.
Lance side off the bed and move towards the window and stare at the bird.
“Are YOU! The one who will guide me to somewhere?”, putting his hands on the glass.
The bird flew to the window and turn into a black armour maiden.  She walk through the glass and look at the man in the bed then Lance as he move back.
“I’m Termari, to answer your question, yes. To show you what needs to be done, but we must go.  You’re not safe here,” Termari walks through the glass and looks back at Lance.
‘Do I really want to go,’ looking back for the last time.
“Please Lance, I’ll lend you my wings to take flight.”
‘Who are you? Why are you in my mind?’ Lance turn to look at his reflection of life.  He sees a purple armour young maiden answers, “I’m Alicia, one of your pigeons from your dream, and I know you want it to be in time, your confession of open sun on candle light but for now let’s combine as one. You can carry on as you were.”
‘I see, thank you.  How can I change then?’, touching his head.
“Allow me, just stand as you were against the window.”
Lance stood and shortly he was also outside.  Termari transform back at the same time as Lance became an indigo robin carrier.  They both jete high and boogie up into the sky.
