My update artist's statement

I am a creative fiction poet writer of Haikus, prose poems and graphic novel with photography, comic artist.  I am influenced by images around me, and I include these in my work. The biggest influences on my art are my values, my family and my collections of art books from my favourite artists, Natsuki Takaya, Hans Christian Alderson, Roald Dahl and many more.  Everything that I see and hear influences my art work and I try to create these images as I write.  Mythology also influences me in many ways.

I am currently working on three separate pieces.  One of my extended pieces of Haikus in a graphic novel style.  And another type is my drawings with Tongan tales within the form of prose poems. Finally creating a story to be a comic in almost animated form.

I would like everyone who reads my work to feel like they are part of it and to feel that they can relate to the characters.  I hope they can understand if they have the same experiences as the characters.  I want them to learn from them or their mistakes in their lives, regardless of whether these experiences are bad or good.  I want to encourage the readers to make the most of life as life is short and precious.   But most of all I want them to feel free and not alone in this world as I have also have felt all emotions of sadness, happiness and pain in my life.  I want to let everyone feel that their dreams can come true even if its fantasy and anything is possible. Nothing is impossible, I believe in the ability to achieve and reach high for your dreams and goals and anyone can get there!
