Day 10 - Wednesday 20th June
The first picture is choosing the screen and soaping it with
and wait for 15 minutes and walk back to wash it.
Winston put some more on and that door wouldn't open so we went round and I notetake the black t-shirts from in that box.
I went to see what he was doing and he was marking where the center was and then he washed the screen again.
I blowdry the screens that were outside inside and then I help Winston more withholding the screens when they get coated and placed in the black room. And Winston put the blue ink back while I wash the two items he used.
Sorry, I forgot what was the stuff that he uses on the screens and I type it up later when I go back to tech on Monday anyway.
At the moment this is the black room that keeps the inks on the screens to dry.
This is the new work that Winston printed on the t-shirts and he grabs one screen to print the paper on with using this machine and place something on top of the screen to keep the drawing on place.
Press hard on the machine as the air is being sucked out and pressing some buttons on the other side and we wait for it to go and when it's going there that light and then when its finish it makes a sound and that's when we put it off and wash it.

The result of finish washing it and blow-dry it well I did but I was a bit worried about ruining the design and Winston had to do it again so I'm glad I ask for his help.
Winston places the green tape on the sides and on some bits of the screen and that is to stop the paints going through on the items at the moment the T-shirts.
This is to make sure that the screen is centered on the bottom while Winston prints.
Ralph came in to hang with us and work on his things.
Winston had to fix it a bit of the spider so the screen can fit properly and then he sprays some stuff that holds the shirts in place.
That's the fan that takes the air and warms the area and Winston use gloves as the stuff he is holding will stick on your skin and maybe burn a little.
Winston is mixing the paint as it has to be in the storage and then Winston places the t-shirts in place and put the screen down while he places the paint on the screen.
Winston uses the Squeegee on the screen and hold tight and press hard down on the screen and the next photo shows the end result. And then he use the heat machine sorry I forgot the name but I know Winston wants another.
Here count to 25 and this is the first coat of paint. And repeat the process again and next count to 15. The paint should be dry and done.
Winston was just checking if the paint is dry again that there are no other holes in the screen. And then he makes sure one is centered on him and I help put out the other shirts out ready to be screened and then I help him lock up around at 5pm.
Day 11
I came in to get my folder and seeing Winston still screening the shirts so I decided to help before my class started at 10 and in this picture is a foundation student.
I count to 25 and this is the first coat of paint. And repeat the process again and next count to 15. So I took off the shirt while Winston places another shirt on the spider and repeat. And then I went to class to do Emily's crit.
Day 12
So I looked after the print for Winston while work on my own work and then after lunch Winston messenger me to come so we can do prints for the photography classes and well the Winston got the wrong paper to print so I help him put the paper back in the box and it was a mission to place it in the box.
Well, Winston said I can go back and look after the print room and I did and work on my work while Denise came in too and work and then Denise and I both lock up the room for Winston as we stayed a bit late.
This at night and opposite of our school which this is the back area.
I enjoy today with working on both my work and with Winston so we be doing printing for the photography class and others on Monday. 😁
